Log House Museum
Now through 8/31/2018
Neighborhoods and fire stations grow up together. The relationship of a neighborhood to the fire station that protects it is one of trust, respect, and appreciation. To know that help will arrive quickly in the event of a fire or an injury is reassuring and gives comfort. This exhibit examines the history of West Seattle’s five fire stations, with a look also at some of West Seattle’s more impressive fires, from Luna Park to the Fauntleroy Thriftway store.
The Log House Museum is located at 3003 61st Avenue SW in West Seattle, and is open Thursdays through Sundays, noon-4 PM. Admission is free (suggested donation $3 adults, $1 kids).
