Polly Olsen (Yakama), Burke Museum Tribal Liason, and Kate Fernandez will speak about their ongoing work decolonizing interpretation, and more broadly centering indigenous voices in the creation and programming of the Burke Museum. Following the discussion there will be a walking tour of the public galleries to highlight key areas where the work is evident.
To help cover the cost of the room rental the cost of this program will be $10 for AKCHO members and $20 for non-members and will be collected at the door. Registration includes general admission into the museum, a $22 value. To check your membership status, click here or email email@example.com.
