Gathering visitor insights to shape a successful museum reopening

July 28, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Join Washington Museum Association for a FREE webinar with WA state audience researchers to discuss tips/tricks for reaching out to your visitors to shape policies ahead of reopening your museum.

As we all prepare to reopen our doors, it’s important our guests feel welcome, safe, comfortable, and included. Come hear from Melisa McChesney, Membership Manager at the Burke Museum, and (Kirinne or Mary) from Woodland Park Zoo as they share ways to ask questions and gather information from core audiences to inform reopening and drive attendance. They’ll discuss:

  • How to identify your priority questions for investigation, and gather information that can inform decision making.
  • Tips for conducting surveys with your core audiences online, with minimal budget.
  • Challenges, and opportunities that arose for their respective organizations from the survey results.

Time will be left at the end to ask questions and discuss what needs our state’s museums are experiencing in the current climate.

RSVP: Send your name, institution, and email address to Kathryn Owen, kathryn@kathrynowenconsulting.com, by Sunday, July 26th to receive Zoom invite.
