Just a reminder that our AKCHO Annual Meeting is taking place on Tuesday, January 29, at the new Nordic Museum, 2655 NW Market Street, Seattle. Doors open at 10 AM; the gathering will be called to order at 10:30 AM and will include a short business meeting, a panel presentation, and luncheon ending by 1:00 PM.
The topic inclusion was selected because AKCHO believes that inclusivity is vital to the existence of every heritage organization. Please join us and historical organizations across King County as we look internally to examine our policies and practices and learn from one another’s best practices to create a more inclusive community. Our panel will be moderated AKCHO Trustee Hilary Pittenger with panelists: Chieko Phillips – 4Culture, Nicole Robert – MOHAI and Aletheia Wittman – The Incluseum.
If you haven’t already had a chance to register, please do so by January 17. Cost is $35/person. Late registration is limited and costs $40/person. You’ll find the registration form here.
Now is also the time to renew your AKCHO membership. To sign up on line click here.
We hope to see you there!
