Book-It Repertory Theatre is bringing the story of the Century 21 World’s Fair back to life in a Special Editions performance of The Future Remembered, adapted by Annie Lareau from the book of the same name by Paula Becker and Alan Stein.
The 40-minute performance highlights a post-WWII, pre-coffee and computer Seattle. It introduced the civic leaders whose advocacy and forward thinking paved the way for the culturally rich and vibrant community we now are.
With development funding from 4Culture Heritage and Arts, “The Future Remembered,†as historical performance, is now available for autumn booking dates at King County venues. Heritage organizations and historic sites are especially encouraged to include this latest non-fiction production from Book-It Theatre as part of their public programming, and to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Fair.
If you would like to learn more about how you can include this production as part of your cultural organization’s 2011-2012 program lineup, contact Eric Taylor at 4Culture.
