HistoryLink.org, the online encyclopedia of Washington State history, is working on a new initiative that is funded in part by Humanities Washington to add audio clips to essays posted on the HistoryLink website.Â
As stage one of this project, a survey is being conducted of oral history resources throughout the state, the goal being to identify recordings that could be used to provide brief sound bites for existing or planned essays. This is a way not only to enhance HistoryLink’s content, but to call attention to valuable and often overlooked oral history collections.
Those who have oral histories in their collections are encouraged to participate. Please contact Catherine Hinchliff at catherinehinchliff@gmail.com or 425-466-6377.
