Maritime Folknet announces the release of a music CD with sixteen new songs about the Lake Washington Ship Canal and Ballard Locks. Copies of the CD will be free to non-profit organizations, schools, and libraries.
Non-profit organizations can pick up their copy of the CD at one of the monthly AKCHO meetings, or email firstname.lastname@example.org to have the CD mailed to you.
At the next AKCHO meeting at 10:30 AM on September 26, three of the songs from the CD will be performed live by the songwriters. The meeting will be in the auditorium of the Visitor Center at the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks (aka the Ballard Locks), 3015 NW 54th Street, Seattle. The live music will be followed by a program on “Lessons Learned from ‘Making the Cut’ Centennial Commemoration”. For more meeting details, click here. (more…)
